The town of Loches in the dept of Indre et Loire
September 2007
A visit to the town and castle of Loches. The original castle was founded in the IV century and was completed as a stone fortress at the end of the XIV century. It is in a prominent position overlooking the medieval town of Loches. It was used as a prison during the French revolution and as you can see from one of the photos 2 of the prisoners are still trapped in side!!
