Changing seasons

October 2005

harvesting maize

The view from the garden is now changing from summer to autumn as the colours start to change. It has been very dry here and as you can see the maize is now brown and crisp.

Apparently the farmers prefer it to be very dry like this before they harvest it. They use it as animal feed as the French do not seem to like eating corn on the cob.
